Internship Opportunities

Each semester, CAWRI hires a set of interns who are passionate about women and children’s rights and believe that accessible education and health for women and children can have profound impacts on a nation. Interns are required to think critically; they should be dependable, as well as punctual. Intern positions are a minimum of 3 days per week/ 24 hours. Additionally, internships are unpaid, but university credit can be earned. Upon successful completion, CAWRI will provide letters of recommendation and references. Intern Positions:
-Seeking an individual enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in a health related field such as biology with a pre-med track, or public health
-Strong understanding of women and girls’ health
-Main responsibility would include building a health curriculum on a range of topics including menstrual and reproductive health
-Ability to work with partners in different cultures
Human Rights:
-Seeking an individual in a graduate or undergraduate program in the field of international studies, human rights, political science, anthropology or gender studies
-Background knowledge on the systemic oppression of children and women around the globe
-Main responsibility would include developing a project within this topic, including drafting a project proposal and LOI for grant searching
-Ability to work within a team for the development of this project
Fundraising and PR:
-Seeking an individual in a graduate or undergraduate program in the field of communications, or someone with experience in fundraising and event planning
-Previous experience with planning a minimum of one event or fundraiser
-Main responsibilities would include being in charge of all social media accounts, website development and planning at least one event for the duration of your internship
-Ability to work in a professional manner when reaching out to possible locations for our events
-Seeking an individual in a graduate or undergraduate program with research experience
-An applicant with strong research skills and creativity are favored
-Main responsibility would include working with our Executive Director in order to create a new project that aligns with our mission and vision
-Grant seeking and fund searching are also a major role of this position
-Ability to work in a self driven environment
